R&R serves as a national convener for a community of funders who invest in sabbaticals for nonprofit leaders to learn from one another, illuminate best practices, and co-create the future of this growing movement.

Together, we’re co-creating a movement that shifts narratives, unlocks resources, and prioritizes rest as a strategic imperative for equity, sustainability and impact.

What We Do

Monthly Roundtable Gatherings

Peer learning and strategy-sharing sessions focused on relationship building, sharing best practices & troubleshooting challenges.

Field Building + Thought Leadership

From speaking at conferences to op-eds, we’re raising the visibility of rest as a strategic and equity-centered investment.

Resource Amplification

We curate emerging research, lived experiences, and funder practices to help others take action, whether they’re sabbatical-curious or fully committed.

Who We Are

Steering Committee

We are especially grateful for the following roundtable members serving on our inaugural steering committee to guide the strategic direction of this emerging collective.

Values in action

  • Rest is a resource and infrastructure- We affirm rest as essential for sustainable, joyful leadership.

  • Collective care is equity- By nurturing one another, redistributing resources, and honoring interdependence, we shift power and challenge extractive systems.

  • Learning is lifelong- We are students of care based practices and of each other. Through curiosity and humility, we learn from lived experience and adapt, together.

  • We do this work relationally by building together and embracing emergent collaboration

Are you a rest-based or sabbatical funder?

We’d love to connect!
